| 12/01/2010 Volkswagen Group reports delivery record for 2009 The Volkswagen Group set a new delivery record in 2009, topping the prior-year figure. A total of 6.29 million vehicles were delivered to customers, compared with 6.23 million in 2008 or an increase of 1.1%. In contrast, the world passenger car market contracted by over 6%. In a difficult economic environment, the share of the world passenger car market held by Europe’s largest automaker rose to 11.4% compared with 10.3% in 2008.

Its visual appearance follows today’s Volkswagen “Design DNA”. From now on, its appearance will be defined by clear horizontal lines and bold headlight styling. Key engines from the Golf have also been transferred to the Variant. In the interior, high-end materials and instruments of the current Golf set the tone.

The new model combines the robustness demanded of a Ute with innovative technology, high safety standards and top values in fuel efficiency, comfort and ergonomics. Conceptually and stylistically, the Amarok – up to 5.25 meter long – is a Ute that looks like it came right out of the pages of a stylish copybook. Its body, set upon a ladder frame, clearly reflects properties of the new Volkswagen design DNA. As usual, the emphasis here is on horizontal lines, a clear interplay of surfaces and precision.

| 18/11/2009 Volkswagen Amarok supports the Dakar Rally 2010 It is durable, robust and can tackle any road, no matter how tricky: the Volkswagen Amarok will have to prove those claims from January 2010 during the world’s toughest rally. Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is the “Official Supplier” to the Dakar Rally and a partner to the organiser, the Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.). The new Amarok from Volkswagen will be the Support Vehicle for the rally. The organiser is to use 20 Amarok, with a further 15 to be used as press and shuttle vehicles.

The T5 series is made up of the Transporter, Caravelle, Multivan and California models. Each individual model is made up of a scope of individual model variants.

| 01/07/2009 The One Millionth T5 is Built Hanover, 30th June 2009 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles produced the one millionth vehicle of the T5 series at the Hanover plant. The vehicle was a T5 Transporter Van 1.9l TDI 62 kW in tornado red.

| 22/06/2009 I Models Volkswagen TSI Engines Lead the Charge Volkswagen has achieved its greatest success to date in the international engine technology competition with the 1.4 litre TSI engine. Besides the “International Engine of the Year” award, the twincharged TSI also earned the titles “Best Green Engine 2009” and “Best Engine” in the 1.0 to 1.4 litre engine category. Dr. Rüdiger Szengel, Head of Volkswagen Petrol Engine Development, accepted the awards today in Stuttgart.
