Powerful TDI diesel engines

Fuel-efficient TDI Diesel engines with the common-rail system are used in the new Golf. Available in both an economical 77kW and 103kW TDI engines equipped with a diesel particulate filter in combination with a DSG clutch gearbox. This innovative technology translates to a combined fuel consumption of just 4.7 l/100kms for the 77kW and 5.4 litres/100km for the 103kW with C02 emissions of 123g per km and 142g per km respectively.

Fuel-efficient TSI engines provide optimum power delivery in the new Golf. There are three innovative TSI petrol engine choices from the 77kW (1.2 litre) which translates to an economical combined fuel consumption of just 5.8l/100km to the 118kW (2.0 litre) version. They are all combined with the award winning 7-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox which enables convenient gear-shifting with uninterrupted power and at the same time makes a significant contribution to reduced fuel consumption and emissions.

Safety

The new Golf includes active safety features to enhance your protection including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP), helping to ensure the vehicle goes where you steer it. With the addition of Electronic Differential Lock (EDL). For added peace of mind new Golf has seven airbags (including a driver’s knee airbag) and has achieved a 5 star EuroNCAP rating.
