The new TDI engines - even more economical and high performing.
2.0l TDI 75kW (250Nm) engine The entry level TDI engine, where the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions have been considerably reduced from previous Transporter, while the power output has increased just as significantly. For this engine, the power is transmitted using a 5-speed manual gearbox. 2.0l TDI 103kW (340Nm) engine Thanks to the higher output of 103kW, even long drives on the motorway are a pleasure. As is the case with the other TDI engines, CO2 emissions and fuel consumption have been significantly reduced for the sake of the environment and the ubiquitous cost pressure. A 6-speed manual gearbox and an innovative 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG) are available with this engine. 2.0l Twin turbo TDI 132kW (400Nm) engine The top of the range engine has two turbochargers for an extremely high power output and pure driving pleasure with a maximum torque of 400Nm. This contradicts the belief that commercial vehicles and a sporty driving style are mutually exclusive. You have a choice of a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed direct shift gearbox (DSG). For the first time, DSG in combination with 4MOTION is also available for this engine. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions Fuel consumption (l/100 km) and combined CO2 emissions (g/km), fuel tank capacity approx. 80 litres 1) Figures in brackets apply to gearbox with shorter gear ratios. 2) provisional figures. Note in accordance with directive 1999/94/EC: The fuel consumption and CO2 emission listed here have been established in accordance with the measuring method stipulated (the version of directive 80/1268/EEC which is currently valid). These figures do not refer to a particular vehicle and do not constitute part of the offer but are purely for comparison purposes between the various types of vehicle. In addition to the fuel efficiency of a vehicle, driving behaviour as well as other non-technical factors play a role in determining a vehicle's fuel consumption and CO2 emission. CO2 is the main greenhouse gas responsible for global warming. A guide on fuel consumption and CO2 emission which contains data for all new passenger car models is available free of charge at every point of sale in the European Union and, for prospective buyers in Germany, at DAT Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH, Hellmuth-Hirth-Strasse 1, 73760 Ostfildern. |
