Campaign 87B4 - Heating element of additional air heater

On Jetta vehicles of a limited production period the earth cable of the electric heating element of the additional air heater may not be correctly attached. An incorrectly attached earth cable can lead to an overheating of the heating element and in the most unfavourable case to a vehicle fire.

For safety reasons a check of your vehicle is necessary. The check of the earth cable contact only takes a few minutes. Check and repair are, of course, free of charge to you.

Campaign 74B4 - Seat heating regulator with overload protection

On vehicles of the affected chassis number ranges the cable for the seat heating mat of the driver seat may break because of a not optimal cable routing. This can lead to sporadic overload and failure of the heating mat.

For safety reasons a check of your vehicle is necessary. The check and repair are, of course, free of charge to you.

Campaign 45B1 - Golf ABS Control Unit

Volkswagen AG has advised of a potential safety issue involving a limited number of Jetta/Bora vehicles. On some vehicles within the affected chassis number range, it is possible that individual control unit parts may overheat because of an electrical fault with in the ABS unit. In isolated cases the overheating can lead to damage of the ABS unit.

For safety reasons a check of your vehicle is necessary. The check of the ABS unit only takes a few minutes. If the ABS unit has to be replaced, the vehicle will have to be booked in with the dealer. Check and repair are, of course, free of charge to you.

Campaign 24K6 - Engine control unit update

On vehicles with 2.0l TFSI engines of the affected chassis number ranges an assumed control unit fault is calculated because of a wrong algorithm in the engine control unit. The engine warning light indicates a fault although there is no defect in the engine control unit.

For safety reasons a check of your vehicle is necessary. The update of the control unit will take less than an hour. Check and update are, of course, free of charge to you.
