The small print

General Exceptions
The Volkswagen Mobility Guarantee Program will not offer assistance or reimbursement in the event of a call or claim arising as a result of :

1.The use of your vehicle for motor racing, rallies, speed or duration tests or any practice thereof.

2.Claims arising from loss or damage to the contents of your vehicle.

3.Any Liability arising in respect of any goods, service, advice or arrangements supplied, by any agent or person acting on our behalf.

4.You, the driver or a passenger:-
Causing intentional damage or injury.
Participating in a criminal act or offence.
Willfully exposing themselves to danger (except in an attempt to save human life).
Being under the influence of intoxicating liquor, solvent abuse or drugs (other than drugs taken under medical supervision and not for the treatment of drug addiction).
Voluntarily not observing the transport regulations in New Zealand where the break down, or any other incident, occurs or the practice of activities not authorised by the local authorities.
Leaving your vehicle unattended while waiting for roadside assistance.

5.You, the driver or passenger entering into any agreement where, or which could mean, additional liabilities are incurred.

6.You, the driver and any passengers will not be protected for
costs which would normally have been incurred on the journey (such as petrol or hotel accommodation), and
costs which are reimbursed from another source unless specifically specified.

7.You, the driver and any passengers will not be protected or the following costs
petrol, insurance and ancillary charges relating to vehicle rental
meals, beverages and ancillary charges relating to accommodation unless specifically specified.

8.Consequential loss of any kind.

9.Radioactivity and similar types of risks; war, invasion, act of foreign enemy, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), civil war, rebellion, revolution or military or usurped power; pressure waves caused by aircraft or other aerial devices.
