What will we do?

Roadside Assistance
If your Volkswagen is unfortunately immobilised for any reason, encompassing mislaid keys, lack of fuel or a puncture, one phone call to Volkswagen Assistance will quickly provide assistance - wherever you are in New Zealand.

Vehicle Recovery
If your vehicle breaks down 100kms or more from home, and it cannot be reasonably repaired within 24 hours, we will transport your vehicle, boat, caravan or trailer you are towing at the time to the nearest authorised Volkswagen dealer or home and/or;

Emergency Accommodation
We will provide you with up to 3 nights accommodation for yourself and those travelling with you (up to a maximum value of $120 per night) and/or;

Rental Car
We will provide you with a rental car or up to three days to enable you to return home or to continue your journey (up to a maximum value of $120 per day) and/or;

Land Transportation Home
If you are stranded and need to get home and you’re more than 100 km away from home, we will arrange for alternative ground transport home or to your next destination within New Zealand for you and those travelling with you.

For break downs within 100 km of home or if the vehicle can be repaired within 24 hours, elements of the Volkswagen Mobility Guarantee may not apply. The Volkswagen Assistance operator
will liaise with you as to how we can best assist you in having your vehicle repaired or recovered.

If you require emergency travel assistance
We can assist in booking accommodation or making alternative travel arrangements if you are unexpectedly delayed. If your travel documents are lost or stolen within New Zealand, we can assist in cancelling and reissuing them for you. We can also other advice if you’re lost on the road.
