Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get a replacement key for my vehicle?

Volkswagen keys are tied into the security system for all our cars. This is why all keys need to be programmed to the vehicle’s Immobiliser system. Coding a replacement key for your vehicle requires specialised equipment available only to your local Volkswagen Authorised Dealer. To order a replacement, simply make contact with your local Volkswagen Dealership and they can help out.

If an Owner's Manual was not supplied with your new vehicle, please contact the Sales Manager at your Volkswagen Dealership.

Is the warranty on my vehicle transferable to a subsequent owner?

For warranty purposes does my car have to be serviced with Volkswagen or can I go somewhere else?

Your vehicle should be serviced in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. Any damage to or defect in the vehicle caused by poor or insufficient servicing will not be remedied under the vehicle's warranty. Please ensure that you maintain sufficient records to enable our Authorised Dealer Network to confirm that the vehicle has been appropriately serviced. In any event, please ensure that the service schedule booklet in your vehicle is stamped by the business carrying out the service work, or detailed invoices supplied with date, mileage, plus specified parts and fluids used. Your Volkswagen Dealer knows the required maintenance schedule for your vehicle and what is required at each service
