As our first family-sized 7-seater SUV, the Tiguan Allspace offers more space, more comfort and more versatility. Compared to the Tiguan 5-seater, its wheelbase is longer and has 215 mm additional length, so you can pack everyone and everything into your adventures.
Powered by petrol or diesel engine technology, the range offers 4MOTION models for the more adventurous. The Tiguan Allspace is as capable off-road as it is around town and on the highway. And, thanks to the BlueMotion technology measures employed, you’ll also save on fuel without having to forego dynamic performance. They include energy recovery and the start/stop system among others.
With the Tiguan Allspace you can also opt for the powerful 176 kW (240 bhp) BiTDI engine for impressive performance readiness. Combined with permanent 4MOTION four-wheel drive, the engine delivers optimised traction on varied surfaces.
Whether you’re towing the trailer or boat, the 4MOTION Tiguan Allspace can tow with ease thanks to its class-leading towing capability of 2,500kg.

One of the additions is the eye-catching Active Info Display on the 4MOTION Highline and R-Line. Taking place of traditional instrumentation behind the steering wheel. This high-definition digital display uses a 12.3” screen with configurable views. Choose your view from navigation, infotainment, driver assistance, off-road and vehicle performance functions.
For added confidence in challenging driving conditions, you can’t go past Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive system with Active Control.
Active Control allows you to tailor your driving experience by choosing one of four special all-wheel drive modes (snow, on-road, and two off-road settings: one automatic and one variable) via a rotary switch. A central mode button activates the Driving Profile Selection, which offers further personalisation of the on-road mode with Eco, Normal and Sport profiles available to the driver.
(Feature not available on 2WD Comfortline).
One small but significant addition to the Tiguan Allspace is the automatically operated tailgate which allows for fuss-free opening and closing of the rear door.
Standard on the Highline and R-line is the Easy Open Function, where the tailgate can be opened by simply waving your foot under a sensor, making it enormously convenient when carrying lots of items. Closing the tailgate is as easy as pressing a button or allowing the Easy Close function to shut the tailgate automatically when you move away from the vehicle.
The Tiguan Allspace is packed with intelligent technology and driver assist systems. It will even support you in critical driving situations, leaving you calm and confident behind the wheel. Standard features are the area view camera for a 'birds eye' surrounding view, pedestrian monitoring, front assist, lane assist and side assist with rear traffic alert*.
*Safety technologies are not a substitute for the driver’s responsibility of the vehicle.
Forward Collision Warning system (included in Front Assist) has sensors in the front to help monitor traffic and can alert you to a potential collision. If a collision is imminent, Autonomous Emergency Braking (included in Front Assist) can help brake the car.
Side Assist provides assistance if you want to change lanes from speeds of 10 km\h upwards. Sensors in the rear of the vehicle monitor the traffic and should they detect any road users in your blind spot or vehicles approaching quickly from behind, the system will alert you via a warning light within the door mirror housing.
Rear Traffic Alert comes in handy when you’re backing up. It has sensors that can alert you to vehicles crossing in your path when in reverse and even brake for you if needed.
When moving, Lane Assist can sense if you start to drift into another lane without using the turn signal, and will help steer to help keep you in the correct lane.
Parking Steering Assistant (Park Assist) can judge if a parking spot is big enough for your Volkswagen. Then it will help steer the vehicle into the space. You operate the accelerator, brake, and shifter; it does the rest.
Adaptive Cruise Control (with traffic jam assist and emergency assist) help you maintain a preset distance from the car in front. If the car in front of you speeds up or slows down, the sensors detect the change and your car follows suit. In critical situations, emergency assist will help guide you safely off the road, by automatically controlling some functions of the car. (Feature standard on Highline and R-line models, optional for Comfortline)
Park Distance Control has sensors that can help you back out of or drive into a parking spot. Audible signals and the optical parking system on the display indicate how much space you have behind and, on some vehicles, in front of the vehicle when parking. If you get too close, an alert sounds as a warning.
Unmistakably Volkswagen, the Tiguan Allspace conveys a sense of refined comfort with every touch. The dashboard has a clean and functional design so everything you need is readily at hand.
This SUV features a high-positioned gearshift, leather multi-function steering wheel, plus on the 4MOTION the standard gearshift paddles help you enjoy the drive.
