2024 Dealer of the Year 

Volkswagen New Zealand has celebrated its annual Dealer of the Year awards naming Ebbett Volkswagen as the ultimate winner for 2024. 

The awards recognise Dealerships that have demonstrated outstanding performance across various key metrics, including customer satisfaction, sales volume, dealership operations, and innovation. 

Chanelle McDonald, General Manager of Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles says, “We are thrilled to see Ebbett Volkswagen receive this award, in what was a very tough year for our industry. Ebbett's dedication to doing the basics well, having a customer first mindset and being adaptable through change has been key to their success. Their win sets a high standard for the network.” 

The team at Ebbett Volkswagen were honoured to take home both the Overall Dealer of the year title but also the Dealer of the year award for Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles. Michael van den Engel, Dealer Principal of Ebbett Volkswagen, said: “We are incredibly humbled by this achievement. The car business has always been, at its heart, a people business. These awards can only be earned through the trust and loyalty of our customers and the incredible efforts of our team. From the showroom to the workshop, it’s a collective effort. Another notable annual award is the Jemima’s Award, where an individual, team, or Dealership is recognised for going above and beyond for their local community.  The winner for 2024 was Volkswagen Motorworld for their partnership with the Inspire foundation, an organisation that supports talented young individuals in the Marlborough region. Applicants must demonstrate an extraordinary ability, talent or skill and have a desire to support their community. The foundation supports with cash grants and a vehicle lease for these talented individuals to realise their potential.  Jared Morris, Dealer Principal of Motorworld says, “we take pride in this partnership, through our continued support of youth development we strive to create a legacy of positive change in our region.”
