Volkswagen has partnered with SIXT New Zealand as the exclusive automotive partner for Godzone
November 2025
Volkswagen New Zealand is proud to announce its partnership with SIXT New Zealand as the exclusive automotive partner for One New Zealand GODZONE, the world’s largest expedition adventure race. This collaboration brings together two brands synonymous with performance to support an event that pushes human and machine to their limits.
GODZONE is widely regarded as the pinnacle of endurance racing. Over eight gruelling days, teams navigate an unmarked course spanning 550–650km of New Zealand’s most remote and challenging terrain, including mountains, rivers, and coastal wilderness.
As part of this partnership, Volkswagen NZ will showcase the Amarok PanAmericana, a vehicle engineered for power and precision. From rugged backcountry tracks to remote transition zones, the Amarok ensures safety, comfort, and capability for event crews and support teams.
The Amarok is the ultimate GODZONE support vehicle, enabling teams to go where others can’t. Tuned for off-road and equipped with a powerful V6, the Amarok is a reliable partner when it matters most, taking on some of New Zealand’s toughest terrain.
SIXT NZ, part of the Giltrap Group, joins Volkswagen in delivering premium mobility solutions for GODZONE. Their fleet of high-performance vehicles will support athletes, organisers, and spectators throughout the event.
“From the moment we connected with Volkswagen, it was clear the Amarok would be the ultimate support vehicle for One NZ GODZONE. This partnership is about showcasing New Zealand’s incredible landscapes to the world, and with Volkswagen’s backing, we’re enabling teams to go where others can’t — Rob Nichol, Trustee of PURE ADVENTURE Charitable Trust.
