With the rapidly developing COVID-19 situation we are following government advice and working with our Dealer Network to take the appropriate actions to maintain the health and safety of our customers and staff.

The information you will find on this page reflects the measures that Volkswagen New Zealand and its Dealership Network will take as a result of Alert Level 2 from Thursday 14th May 2020.

Authorised Service Centres

Authorised Service Centres are now fully operational for Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections, Servicing and Repairs under Alert Level 2 from Thursday 14th May onwards. Please book ahead as we may experience increased demand.

We can continue to offer contactless Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections, Servicing and Repairs if you prefer. Please ask about these options when booking with your local dealership.

Roadside Assistance remains in place. Call 0800 577 599 and our team will organise help.

Showrooms

Our dealerships are now fully operational, and things may look a little different as we uphold strict Government guidelines including social distancing, limited numbers within a Dealership at one time, facilitation of strict hygiene practices, and contact tracing for all those entering a Dealership.

If you prefer not to visit in person, contactless test drive options are also available by appointment, with the ability to pick-up and drop-off at your convenience.

Head Office

Volkswagen Head Office is operational. Our staff will be observing government guidelines with strict distancing and split shifts to limit the number of people in our offices. We are here to help. 

Safety first

Our priority continues to be the health and wellbeing of our staff, our valued customers and the wider community. We're maintaining stringent measures to keep everyone safe. Measures include:

  • Stricter cleaning and sanitation standards: application of disinfectant at key touchpoints inside the Dealership and vehicles
  • Digital contact tracing for anyone visiting a Dealership
  • Applying social distancing rules to our customers and employees
Warranty, Service Plans and WOF’s  

Warranty & Service Plans extension
All vehicles with factory warranties or service plans expiring during the lockdown Level 4 period (From 26th March), will receive an extension until 1st June 2020. 

WOF’s - NZTA update 
NZTA consider all WOF’s to be valid until further notice. There is a requirement for drivers to ensure vehicles are safe to be driven. Simply check your tyre pressure and tread depths, ensure lights and indicators are working.
