Useful brake tips

1
A perfect match

To ensure the safest driving experience, your brakes must be tailored exactly to your Volkswagen's engine performance, weight and top speed. Volkswagen genuine brake discs and pads take the guess work out of safety by ensuring an exact match every time.

Good things come in pairs

The brake discs and pads on each axle must be changed in pairs to ensure consistent braking. If pads are more heavily worn on one side of the vehicle, your Volkswagen may pull to one side in an emergency braking situation.

3
Contact the experts

If your "Brake" control warning light is flashing, we recommend you contact your approved Volkswagen service centre. Only a Volkswagen trained specialist should be working on your brakes.
